Draft GO TO 2040 Plan

Process

GO TO 2040 is the comprehensive regional plan that will guide growth in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties for the rest of this century. In addition to land use and transportation, GO TO 2040 also addresses the full range of quality-of-life issues, including the natural environment, economic development, housing, and human services such as education, health care and other social services.

The public comment period lasted from June 11 until August 6, 2010. Each comment received was carefully considered and included as an appendix to the final GO TO 2040 plan, which was approved unanimously by the CMAP Board and MPO Policy Committee on October 13, 2010. We appreciate everyone's input and look forward to your continued participation as the plan's crucial implementation phase begins. You can view a compilation of comments received and CMAP's responses to the comments.
