CMAP Board will meet as previously announced at 9:00 a.m. on October 8, 2014

The MPO Policy Committee has changed its meeting date, which will now be 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 9.  The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) Board meeting will remain at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 8.  Each meeting will take place in the CMAP offices at 233 S. Wacker Drive, Suite 800, Chicago, IL, 60606.

CMAP apologizes sincerely for this change, and we would appreciate your sharing this information broadly to avoid any further inconvenience.

The Board and MPO Policy Committee will separately consider approval of the draft GO TO 2040 plan update, which is available at http://www.cmap.illinois.gov/about/2040/update.  Both the CMAP Board and the MPO Policy Committee will hear public comments on the plan update for up to one hour at the start of their respective meetings.

As part of the process, a draft of the GO TO 2040 plan update was available during a 50-day public comment period from June 13 through August 1, 2014. Over 1,400 comments were submitted via letters, emails, on-line submissions, and in-person remarks at public meetings held across the region. A detailed summary of the comment period, including tables of CMAP's responses to comments, can be found in the draft Public Engagement Summary Appendix

Immediately following public comment at each meeting, the CMAP Board and then the MPO Policy Committee (respectively) will vote on whether to adopt the plan update, Transportation Improvement Program, and conformity determination.  After the vote, all other meeting agenda items will be addressed.
