Salary ranges

CMAP positions are categorized across 12 grades with salary ranges for each grade. When hiring, CMAP considers multiple factors — for example, experience and education — to determine starting salary. Most often, this is between the starting and mid-point of the grade range.

Peters Fellowship

The Peters Fellowship provides a graduate student with a paid work and enrichment experience in one of the nation's largest metropolitan areas at CMAP.

Employee compensation

The 2024 CMAP Employee Total Compensation Report meets the requirements of the Illinois Open Meetings Act (Sec. 7.3) requiring employers participating in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund. This information is posted annually following the approval of the new fiscal year budget.
