The Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals (APBP), as part of their ongoing "Parklet Project," assembles resources on parklets.  Parklets "convert curb-side parking spaces into new public spaces for seating, greenery, and places to gather and stop."  The Parklet Project provides information, examples, and encouragement to APBP members and other urban design, transportation, and economic development professionals on utilizing parklets in urban placemaking and pedestrian improvement efforts.  The project includes a poster presented at APBP professional development seminar by Ruth Miller, from the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of California at Berkeley.
