The League of American Bicyclists announced 150 new and existing Bicycle Friendly Businesses (BFB) in 39 states and the District of Columbia. This is the largest group of awardees in the program's history and increases the total number of BFBs to more than 800 businesses, agencies, and organizations.
Ten businesses from northeastern Illinois have become BFBs, including the newly awarded silver-level Chicago brewery, Goose Island Brewing Company. The other nine BFBs from our region are:

- Greenline Wheels, Oak Park (Silver Level)
- REI Northbrook, Northbrook (Silver Level)
- Spin Doctor Cyclewerks, Bartlett (Silver Level)
- DM Systems Headquarters, Evanston (Bronze Level)
- Groupon, Chicago (Bronze Level)
- Peace Corps, Chicago (Bronze Level)
- Trek Bicycle Store, Downers Grove (Bronze Level)
