The Illinois Partners for Clean Air organization is competing in a nationwide challenge to increase the number of EnviroFlash subscribers. Developed by the Illinois EPA and U.S. EPA, this tool sends air quality forecasts and Air Pollution Action Day alerts directly to a subscriber's email or mobile device.  Participants can register for EnviroFlash through June 5, 2015.

It is important for residents of metropolitan Chicago to understand air pollution, where it comes from, how it can affect us, and what we can do to prevent it. Through the federally funded Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Program, CMAP works to improve air quality and mitigate congestion in the seven-county metropolitan region.
