On Thursday, November 5, 2015, a meeting of the corridor land use committee for the proposed IL 53/120 project was convened at the University Center of Lake County in Grayslake. The committee voted 14 to 5 (with 1 abstention) in favor of approving the draft land use strategy document. One committee member, however, raised a question about the validity of this vote if it could not be verified that the meeting had complied fully with the Open Meetings Act by posting a notice and agenda at least 48 hours in advance at the site of the meeting.
 
This process to date has been highly transparent and it remains our goal to ensure there is never any question of its integrity. Rather than allow any doubts to linger, we have rescheduled the meeting as follows:
