The Urban Land Institute, as part of its Building Healthy Places Initiative, has released a report, "Active Transportation and Real Estate: The Next Frontier," that explores trends and interconnections among walking, bicycling, and real estate. The report contains case studies that can help developers, owners, property managers, designers, investors, public officials, and others involved in real estate decision-making create places that support and leverage investments in active transportation infrastructure – such as bike lanes and trails – increase property values, and promote economic, environmental, and public health goals.
