My Daily Travel Partner Toolkit for Organizations

Thank you for helping us spread the word about the My Daily Travel survey. The results of this survey will help the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning learn how and why people get around on a typical day in the Chicagoland area. In this toolkit, CMAP has provided sample email, newsletter, and social media content Chicago-area organizations can use to help promote the survey. Note: When directing people to the survey, please copy and paste the URL below exactly as it appears, and do not copy it from your web browser.

Dear <FIRSTNAME>,

Here at <ORG>, we believe that the Chicago region works best when we all do our part. From August 2018 through May 2019, we have a chance to help the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) understand how Chicago-area residents get from place to place – whether by car, bus, train, bike, or on foot. Through the My Daily Travel survey, CMAP will gain a greater understanding of how to make the best use of limited resources for future transportation investments.

Between August 2018 and May 2019, households throughout the region can take part in the My Daily Travel survey. The survey will ask entire households from our communities about the trips they make for work, school, shopping, errands, and socializing with family and friends. CMAP recognizes that people value their time, so they are offering $50 to each household who participates and completes the survey.

It is the goal of the survey to collect this detailed information from 12,000 households. CMAP will use this data to update the tools used to plan the region's long-term transportation investments.

We hope you will make your voice heard and share your experiences in this important survey. To join the survey, go to: https://mydailytravel.com/signup/orgeml, or call 1-855-981-7286 to sign up by phone.

Sincerely,
