Major Capital Projects
While the primary transportation emphasis of GO TO 2040 is to maintain and modernize, the plan contains a handful of fiscally constrained major capital projects that will maximize regional benefits of mobility and economic development. CMAP staff continually works to add value to regional planning processes specific to these high-priority projects. The agency coordinates with state, regional, and local agencies and groups to generate data, information, policy analysis, and outreach necessary to advance implementation of these GO TO 2040 projects. The GO TO 2040 update included a revised list of fiscally constrained major capital projects based on the adopted plan's original list, the projected availability of funds, and the latest socioeconomic forecasts.
