Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP)
With the passage of Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century (MAP-21), Congress created the new Transportation Alternatives program (TAP) to support non-motorized transportation. CMAP is using a competitive process to select projects to fund under this program. The call for projects for the fiscal year 2013 - 14 program closed on August 20, 2013.
Public Comment Period on Recommended Program. Staff has recommended a set of projects to the CMAP Transportation Committee, which then released it for public comments. Interested parties may submit comments by emailing them to Jesse Elam (firstname.lastname@example.org). Comments will be accepted until December 16, 2013. Following the public comment period, the recommended program of projects with any needed changes will be considered by the CMAP Board and MPO Policy Committee at their January 2014 meetings.
