Manufacturing Drill-Down Forum

On February 26, CMAP will launch its Regional Manufacturing Cluster Drill-Down Report with an event at Harper College's Wojcik Conference Center (1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine) from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., with an optional tour of the College's manufacturing training facilities from 11:00 a.m. to noon.  The event will include a presentation of the new report and its recommendations to address the advanced manufacturing cluster's key challenges and opportunities, to be followed by a panel of experts discussing how to support the growth of metropolitan Chicago's manufacturing cluster.

  1. Welcome and Introduction by Dr. Ken Ender, President, Harper College and Randy Blankenhorn, Executive Director, CMAP
  2. Presentation of the Manufacturing Drill-Down Report
  3. Panel Discussion and Q&A
  4. Optional tour of Harper Manufacturing training facilities

Local Technical Assistance Program

The LTA home page has details of activities sponsored by the HUD Sustainable Communities grant to CMAP for support of community projects that advance the principles of GO TO 2040.  In our second call for projects through the Local Technical Assistance (LTA) program, CMAP received over 100 proposals from more than 80 applicants.
