A Comprehensive Plan for Crete

The Village of Crete is a well-established suburban community located on the southern edge of the region. A number of large scale projects are proposed within the area that could significantly change the Village over the next 10 to 20 years. To be proactive in addressing its future, the Village applied to the LTA program in 2014 and initiated an update to its Comprehensive Plan. The new Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Crete was adopted on February 8, 2016 and will be used to guide decision making over the next decade and beyond. The Plan establishes a clear community vision and offers policies regarding land use and development, transportation, community facilities, parks and recreation, and community identity.
