DuPage County Corridor Plans

DuPage County Roosevelt Road and Lake Street Corridor Plans

DuPage County applied for assistance to develop a plan for unincorporated areas in the Roosevelt Road (east of I-355 to the DuPage County line) and Lake Street (west of I-355 to the DuPage County line) corridors. The County has had difficulty in adopting a county-wide land use plan to deal with unincorporated areas. Consequently, the County  has re-oriented its efforts toward developing plans for unincorporated areas along major arteries. The Plan explores changes to the County's long-range land use designations and will focus on parts of the corridors  where nonconforming land uses exist between incorporated and unincorporated areas.  This project was conducted in partnership with DuPage County, the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference (DMMC), and corridor communities through two multijurisdictional steering committees, one for each corridor.  The Roosevelt Road corridor  involved Lombard, Villa Park, Oakbrook Terrace, Oak Brook, and Elmhurst; the Lake Street corridor involved Addison, Bloomingdale, Itasca, Roselle, and Hanover Park.  For more details about the plan, visit dupagecountycorridors.wordpress.com.
