CMAP offers a low-cost introductory two-day, hands-on workshop focusing on ArcGIS 10. The workshop uses customized databases designed by CMAP staff to introduce participants to basic GIS vocabulary and project components. Groups are limited to five participants and all receive a workbook and sample CMAP data to practice at home. Background: Participants must have a working knowledge of Windows and be comfortable with the use of a mouse.
Advantages: The small size of the group and the flexible, informal teaching method allow opportunities for plenty of questions and discussion. Workshops are limited to five people.
Cost: $350 per person which includes the manual. Note: we are not certified ESRI trainers but we have local data and a genuine interest in your success. Also, we have found that this workshop can be counted as 12 professional development hours for engineers licensed in the state of Illinois.
