Richton Park Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance

Update: The Richton Park Comprehenisve Plan was adopted October 27, 2014. The Zoning Ordinance was adopted November 9, 2015.

In 2011, Richton Park, located in South Suburban Cook County, requested assistance to update the Village Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance. Last updated in 2004, the new Comprehensive Plan will articulate the Village's vision for its future. The new vision will retain many of the goals and recommendations of the original plan, which addressed environmental preservation, diverse housing options, commercial, industrial and office development, outdoor recreation, transportation facilities and social services. The newly adopted Comprehensive Plan will serve as a basis for updates to the Village Zoning Ordinance—developed to implement the vision, concepts, and recommendations of the Comprehensive Plan.
