Congratulations to Chicago's Chinatown community, which will receive the Illinois Chapter of the American Planning Association 2016 Strategic Plan Award.  CMAP's Local Technical Assistance program helped develop the Chinatown Community Vision Plan, which was approved on May 28, 2015.  While the neighborhood developed its own unique sense of place over the years, until now Chinatown has never had its own plan to guide development in ways that align with community priorities.
