May 11-15, 2015, marks the third annual Infrastructure Week, which features events and advocates from across business, labor, and public policy highlighting the importance of infrastructure investment both nationally and locally.  Infrastructure Week challenges policy-makers and the public to address head-on the challenges facing U.S. infrastructure, to move beyond short-term fixes and deferred maintenance, and to envision the innovative solutions, technologies, policies, and investments that will bring America's aging infrastructure into the 21st Century.

GO TO 2040 recommends strong and coordinated efforts to reduce congestion on the region's roads, improve and expand transit service, and create a more efficient freight network.  CMAP recognizes that strategic investment in infrastructure is important to strengthening the region's economy and improving quality of life.
