The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA), the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, and MPC are exploring ways to improve access to the State Revolving Fund (SRF) for water and wastewater infrastructure improvement projects. Municipalities with experience using the SRF, which provides low-interest financing for environmental infrastructure projects, are invited to complete this survey to help guide recommendations for improvement.
CMAP seeks to increase water conservation and efficiency and ensure that the region's water supplies will be available for years to come. The Water 2050 plan recommends broad water management techniques and has inspired resources and tools for municipalities and public water suppliers. Its emphasis on demand management is echoed in GO TO 2040. Following the adoption of the Water 2050 plan, the Northwest Water Planning Alliance (NWPA) was initiated to collaboratively plan for the region's shared water resources.
