CMAP, in partnership with Lower Fox Valley communities, the Metropolitan Planning Council, and BRicK, will host an informational session on Employer-Assisted Housing (EAH) on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Baker Community Center (101 South Second St., St. Charles).  The workshop will feature the mayors from the communities of Batavia, Geneva, North Aurora, and St. Charles and highlight the benefits of bringing EAH to their workforce.  EAH helps employers design a program of various housing related benefits for their employees, including homeownership counseling and loans for down payment and rental assistance.

The workshop is one of the recommendations of the Fox Valley Homes Lower Cluster (Kane County) Homes for a Changing Region plan.  The Homes for Changing Region program enables municipal leaders to chart future demand and supply trends for housing in their communities and develop long-term housing policy plans.  Plans aim to create a balanced mix of housing, serve current and future populations, and enhance livability.

Interested employers can RSVP to Berenice Vallecillos (bvallecillos@cmap.illinois.gov or 312-386-8623), or register at foxvalley.rsvpify.com by October 5.
