CMAP overview

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) was created to help the northeastern Illinois region address land use and transportation challenges. We serve 284 municipalities from Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties.

The CMAP office is located within the Old Post Office building, 433 W. Van Buren St., Suite 450, Chicago, IL 60607. 

CMAP still is conducting public meetings virtually. All guests who need to visit our office must add their name to a guest list at the Old Post Office and pick up a temporary visitor badge on the day of their visit.
