The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) is conducting a study to better understand vehicle activity and trip patterns associated with commercial services in northeastern Illinois. This includes vehicles used for utility services, business services (e.g. realtors, door-to-door sales), parcel deliveries, construction vehicles, and public service vehicles. CMAP has engaged the research firm R.A. Malatest & Associates Ltd. to conduct this research.
To do this, CMAP is inviting select businesses and their drivers to complete a survey. There are two separate surveys: one will seek input from employers, the other will seek input from drivers for those employers. Survey answers will remain anonymous, and incentives will be provided to those who complete a survey. For more on Malatest’s privacy policy please visit: https://www.malatest.com/Privacy.htm.
The data collected from these surveys will help develop a stronger regional travel model for commercial service vehicles, and inform CMAP’s work as the comprehensive planning organization for Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties.
