CMAP is proud to celebrate 33 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Today we recognize the anniversary of this important civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and in public places. The purpose of the law is to ensure that people with disabilities have equal rights and access to opportunities.
