Bringing the region together for a stronger recovery

CMAP has assembled a Regional Economic Recovery Task Force on behalf of the region's seven county board chairs and the City of Chicago. The task force, which includes leaders from across northeastern Illinois, will identify regional strategies to support a strong economic recovery and build back a more inclusive and resilient region. Responding to COVID-19

CMAP will continue to provide analysis to help decision makers respond to the pandemic. This includes insight on transportation changes, unemployment, housing vacancies, and more. You can find all of CMAP's articles related to the pandemic on our COVID-19 response page.

 

Making outdoor spaces accessible to all

Last week, Crain's featured an op-ed by CMAP's executive director, Erin Aleman, and Forest Preserves of Cook County's general superintendent, Arnold Randall. In it, they discuss the importance of a vision and authentic commitment to racial equity when protecting and investing in open spaces. Read the full op-ed in Crain's.

The CMAP Board meets next on Wednesday, November 18, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., via Zoom. Find the agenda and link to join here. It will be proceeded by a meeting of the Coordinating Committee at 8:00 a.m.

Please review the ON TO 2050/TIP Conformity Analysis and TIP Amendment 21-02. Public comments are welcome by mailemail, or phone at 312-454-0400 through Wednesday, December 2.
