Interested in improving accessibility and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance in your community?

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) invites you to join our free ADA training pilot. You'll learn about ADA and Title II requirements, how to complete a self-evaluation, the role of an ADA coordinator, and how to develop a transition plan.

When: Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Where: Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning office

This training is intended for municipal staff, ADA coordinators, community leaders, and anyone interested in learning how to make their communities more accessible.

The training will educate local communities on the ADA and their obligations under the law with a focus on the public right-of-way. The pilot will include an overview of CMAP’s overall ADA training program, including compressed versions of upcoming training sessions and available resources. Attendees will provide feedback to help CMAP shape the training program and provide the most value to local communities.

An assortment of breakfast pastries and coffee will be provided to fuel your learning journey.
