The League of American Bicyclists announced the designation of 17 new Bicycle Friendly Universities (BFUs).  Among the new BFUs is the University of Illinois at Chicago, which is the second bronze-level BFU in Illinois, joining the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.  The announcement also included news of the second-ever Platinum-level BFU: The University of California-Davis.  UC-Davis joins Stanford University in obtaining platinum status.
