On Monday, December 17, 2012, the Urban Land Institute Chicago (ULI Chicago) released the Irving Park Corridor Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) report, which is the product of a community planning process that began in June 2012. The final TAP report is available for download on-line.
Located in the counties of Cook and DuPage, Hanover Park contains a beautiful mix of natural spaces and residential neighborhoods and is supported by excellent institutional and civic amenities, ensuring a high quality of life for its residents, businesses, and visitors.
Building upon priorities in Hanover Park's 2010 Comprehensive Plan, now CMAP's Local Technical Assistance (LTA) program will help the Village explore revitalization of the Irving Park Road Corridor between Astor Avenue to the east and Wise Road to the west.
CMAP and the Village of Hanover Park selected the Urban Land Institute Chicago as a partner to advance the project with a two-day Technical Assistance Panel (TAP). ULI Chicago members with expertise in development, market feasibility, finance, land use, and design will convene for two full days to tour the study area, interview community and business stakeholders, and explore different strategies for business recruitment and land use planning along the Irving Park Road Corridor. After the two-day process, the panel will issue a set of recommendations for viable redevelopment strategies to the Village, informed by the community's vision and based on market realities and best practices.
