Oak Lawn 95th Street Corridor Plan

Update: The plan was adopted in March 2014.

In 2012, the Village of Oak Lawn applied for LTA assistance to prepare a corridor plan for the entire extent of 95th Street between Pulaski Road and Harlem Avenue. The priority emphasis area of the corridor plan will be the area between Pulaski Road and Ridgeland Avenue, while the secondary emphasis will be the western end of the corridor near Harlem Avenue. The objectives of the project include improving corridor aesthetics, improving motorized and non-motorized transportation options, and strengthening linkages between major retailers, Advocate Christ Hospital, the Metra station, Village Hall, the Public Library and Oak Lawn High School. In addition, the project seeks to improve connections to nearby residential areas, provide zoning recommendations for new development and create a set of design guidelines to improve the overall appearance of the corridor.
