The Climate CoLab, a project of the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence, has developed a global crowdsourcing platform where citizens and experts from around the world can work together to create, analyze, and select proposals for actions to address issues related to climate change.  Inspired by platforms like Wikipedia and Linux, the Climate CoLab seeks to harness peoples' collective intelligence to find solutions to issues of global climate change.

One project currently accepting proposals was created by the City of Cambridge, MA for the Kendall Square EcoDistrict and is focused on the design of high-density urban bike parking.  The proposal challenges respondents to discover "a design solution that provides high-density, accessible, cost-effective bicycle parking in the urban context." The deadline for submitting proposals is January 29, 2016.
