The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has announced an infrastructure listening tour to "start a statewide conversation that lays the groundwork for a realistic, sustainable plan for bringing our infrastructure into the 21st century."  The series of informal meetings will emphasize quality of life and economic growth and establish priorities for future investment in the state's transportation system.  Stakeholders in the Chicago region can RSVP to attend in Lake County (May 1), McHenry County (May 1), north Cook County (May 7), south Cook County (May 7), DuPage County (May 11), Chicago (May 13 -- admission fee may apply), Will County (May 21 -- admission fee may apply).
